What is an adult program?
An educational program for parents with school-age children. The program provides information about underage drinking laws, social hosting laws, trends in alcohol, and drug trends and culture. This information will change from community to community depending on information that is gathered from talking with school officials, teachers, parents, County Extension Agents or other community members.
How adult programs work:
The program last about an hour. We like to hold parent programs at the high schools we visit. It is usually the same day we visit the high school. Adult programs are optional and a great resource to educate parents in the community about alcohol and other drug trends. Programs are not limited to high school parents. Other adult program examples are corporate business training, law enforcement officer training, and teacher in service. It is preferred that children not attend these as it is specifically designed for adults/parents.
